Organic Leaf Hopper Spray

Leaf Hopper (white fly) organic spray:

This recipe will make 50 gallons and cover 1 acre of vines

  • 2 lbs of fresh jalapeno peppers
  • 1 lb of fresh habenero or Serrano peppers
  • 1 large jar of crushed garlic
  • 1 large container of liquid soap

Dice up all of the peppers in a food processor (don’t liquefy, makes it harder to strain later). Place diced peppers in a 5 gallon bucket. Place the entire jar of crushed garlic in the bucket then add 4 gallons of water and stir. Let contents sit for at least 12 hours to allow all of the oils to be extracted from the peppers and garlic. Strain contents of bucket with a colander several times or until all solids have been removed. Place the liquid into your sprayer and add an additional 46 gallons of water to make a 50 gallon batch. Once you have added the water then add your container of liquid soap and stir gently. Remember it is important to add the soap at the end or you will have a lot of problems with foaming. You are now ready to spray.
