For this next winery, you'll need to make an appointment, but it's worth it (www.michaelrosecellars.com). I just had a group of women staying here who travel and eat at fairly upscale food places (one works at a national news channel, someone from the White House, a dentist, a fundraiser -- and me, the farmer), but they all voted Michael Rose Cellars the best out of all we visited. Don't expect large or fancy. This winery bespeaks Garagiste, but it's very worth the extra five miles

| 2014 Bouschet Rosé | Central Coast, California

This charming dry rosé is crafted of 100% Alicante Bouschet, one of the few teinturier (red fleshed) grapes. Alluring scents and flavors of raspberry, cherry, hints of crushed multi-colored peppercorns and a trace of earth decorate the palate. Balanced and lively with glistening acidity.

Meet Our Winemakers

Our philosophy has been to reach back in time and bring back the winemaking approach from our past. Our goal is to provide you the consumer with a wine that represents the fruit on the vine. We implement organic practices in the vineyard, and all of our wines are 100% true to the varietal, so the end result is the wine you taste is a representation of the vineyard and varietal.
